Story of a 500 rupee note!

Rachna was thinking of what to make for dinner when Sameer her 5 year old son came rushing in...

"Mamma aaj pizza khana Hai"


Good idea, said Rachna. "aaj to Friday ka one plus one offer bhi hai"


Rachna was dialing the Dominos pizza number while Sameer was going through the Dominos menu. Her eyes went to the corner of the menu were it said in a bubble "Only Rs 500!!"


Her mind went to what Latika had asked for earlier in the day - "Didi 500 Rupai hi to hai...agle mahine ki salary se kaat lena"


But she had said no. The same 500 rupees seemed like a large amount to give to her maid who had worked with them for the past 5 years. Now the Dominos pizza ad said 'only' against rupees five hundred.


Rachna put the phone down and called up Latika instead and asked her to come home immediately.


Latika reached home in about half an hour.


When Rachna handed over 500 rupees to Latika and she could see a glimmer from a tear that dropped from her eyes.


By Monday, Rachna had forgotten about the 500 rupees when Latika came home for the daily chores in the afternoon.


The first thing Latika said was to thank her profusely for the 500 rupees.


"Didi mein aap ko bol nahi sakti kitni khush hoon mein"


She went on to tell her that with the 500 rupees that Rachna gave, Latika had managed to travel to her hometown in Ahmednagar, buy gifts for her mother who was having her birthday, and also buy a sari for her sister.


Rachna could not believe it that the same five hundred rupees that she was to spent on a single meal could buy so much.


How different are our worlds. How different are our perspectives!!


If only I understood her better.

Release some air and adjust the height!

An engineer in a car manufacturing company designs a world class car. The owner is impressed with the outcome and praised him a lot. While trying to bring out the car from the manufacturing area to the showroom, they realised that the car is 2 inches taller than the entrance. The engineer felt bad that he didn't notice this one before creating the car. The owner was amazed on how to take it outside of the manufacturing area. The painter said that they can bring out the car and there will be a few scratches on top of the car which could be touched up later on.
